I work actively as an artist and exhibit regularly both in Gothenburg, Sweden and in Teheran .

During a period of time I have looked intensively into the theme, humans relation to nature in my art.
My paintings are in some sense abstract even though you may find some figurative elements in them.

According to the ancient philosophy of Sufism, you will find different shapes in many of the major world religions, signifying man-kinds coalescence with nature, the ideal state for the world
This symbolic coalescence represents the pure love. In my work I explore and experiment with this alliance. My goal is to draw more attention to the beauty of the world. The art become more and more important in this cruel world, as a positive counterbalance to spread beauty and empathy.

Abbas Mokhtar was born 1957 in Iran/Teheran. In about 30 years he has been working with paintings and drawings, further he worked with sculptures in glass, enamel and bronze. He has had some 15 solo- and 30 group shows in Iran, and also carried out several adornments in the capital city Teheran.
